Como was appointed by global brewery company SABMiller to undertake the premium-quality fit-out of executive areas of their international London headquarters.  

SABMiller needed a fit-out of 16,000 sq/ft of executive offices and associated facilities over three floors in a fully occupied building, with financial traders and dealers on the floors above in a business-critical environment. This included boardroom, fine dining, fully functioning bar, meeting suite, telepresence room and staff desking areas. 

The contract was a full design-and-build partnership with architect TTSP. Como developed a scheme focusing on specialist joinery and other finishes with the aim of achieving a high quality but unostentatious feel, with acoustics being a key focus throughout. Como worked with Strahle in Germany to coordinate the manufacture of the bespoke glass partitions and selection of the teak veneer leaf by leaf to ensure a perfect match on installation. Como also worked hard to source specialist Asian carpets for installation in the executive offices. 

Despite the high specification requirements Como’s team were able to save the client money. Working closely with our key supply chain, Como was able to trim the cost of the joinery package by more than a quarter. Working with one of our other sub-contractors proposed we were also able to achieve a 20% reduction in the cost of the ceiling grid system.
