Como achieves ISO 14001 standard

Following an initial visit in September 2009, Como has achieved accreditation to the British Standards Institute (BSI) ISO 14001:2004.

The audit comprised visits to three projects, including Sutton and Merton Primary Care Trust, Linklaters Architectural Works and Project Shinkyo. The projects were a demonstration of Como's committment to following best practice, with waste management, site tidiness and emergency procedures investigated.

Como managing director, Steve Root said: "I'm delighted that our standards align with those of BSI."

Como is now looking forward to its first surveillance audit in May 2010 to demonstrate its culture of commitment to best practice.
