Mace’s specialist fit-out company, Como, has won the 'Fit-out of Workplace' category at the regional 2011 BCO London & South East Awards, for its Nomura fit-out project “One Angel Lane”, worth in excess of £100m.

The project was one of the largest fit-outs in Europe during construction, completed in an exceptional eight months, while incorporating one of the largest installations of chilled water cooling systems in the world and 1,800 dealer desks.

Also competing in the same category were two other shortlisted Como projects: Department for Communities and Local Government Eland House, and CMC Markets 133 Houndsditch.

Steve Root, managing director of Como, said: “We are delighted to win our fourth BCO award – a great achievement in six years.

“We are particularly proud to have three of our projects shortlisted in the ‘Fit-out of Workplace’ category, which is evidence of our commitment to delivering fantastic projects for our clients, and further confirms our vision for the Como brand to be synonymous with quality.”
